Woke up to hear the dang tick.

Personally, I would get a second opinion on it. If it quiets down after engine warms it's likely the manifold which is a very common issue and easy fix. I know you say you trust the shop, but it doesn't mean they are right. If you have a different dealer nearby or within an hour or two drive, take it to them if it's under warranty still. Shop may just be looking for a nice repair bill. Way too often the "hemi tick" is mistaken for lifters when it's just the manifold.

Really could be a simple problem and blown out of proportion by this shop
They took pics of the manifolds and took off the heat shields, its not the manifolds. Yes I wish it was the manifolds. This owner had literally bailed me out before when I arrived near closing time with a problem on a vehicle and had a technician stay after hours to get me and my wife and kids back on the road. The owner often time is present, will walk you back in the shop and show you the problems. He often times is the guy who ends up driving you home if you need a ride. So yah I TRUST him. My truck engine is in pieces right now so kind of hard to drive it hours to another shop to have someone look at it. It cost me money for them to open it up to verify what the problem is. The Truck is NOT under warranty.

Wrote RamCares customer service on here Friday and have yet to get a response. Not even a hello.

I think Ramcares was sick of pissing on a forest fire and gave up

That was my experience UNTIL the motor replacement was finished after 4 months. The individual, who I couldn't understand, left a message on my answering machine. I dealt with Ram Cares years back and it was a much better experience. I believe those workers were out sourced out of the USA like the engineers.

Well If I were to buy a new truck, I was considering another new Ram. If they don't even bother to respond back, I probably will be looking for a completely different brand of truck..

This motor was on your 2019? Good lord.

This is my conundrum. Anecdotal evidence says "all" manufactures are having quality problems so even if you jump ship you're back in another boat that's taking on water. I suppose the thing to do is lurk in the other forums and get an idea of what their customer service experiences are like. I was eyeballing Power Wagons but unless they improve the customer service experience I'm on to a Tremor or AT4X. The dealerships aren't even to blame, most times the fish rots from the head down

I here you about the issues. The 6.2 v8 in the Chevy has problems, the Tundra metal in engine issues (some still being reported in 2024 I believe), and on and on. They definitely don't make things like they used to. No response to this would be another blow to the gut that I would have a hard time just overlooking. Started looking in the other forums this past weekend and it has certainly been interesting.

IMO, I will not own a modern vehicle without a factory warranty. Way too much very expensive crap to break, and they all do now.

Just read some chevy forums, not good

Well contacting Ramcares was no help.....Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear this has been your experience. However, as this is outside basic warranty parameters, our team is limited to provide any cost assistance. Your dealer would be in the best position to determine that for you and any quote will lead to out-of-pocket expenses. What our team can do is provide part escalations or additional dealer support during the repair......

Part escalations and dealer support, what a joke.. Truck was in pieces when I got this back from them. I reached out a second time and basically got the same response back again today. Even told them I was considering buying a new Ram, but that did not make a difference. Maybe I need to buy some stone wheels and some lumber and Fred Flintstone myself around town.
