Media activates for a few seconds and then goes to nav can’t put sat or reg radio on

There are gremlins in the uconnect software
Often mine wont let me select media or return to home. Plus the seat cooling sometines randomly turns on. Seat heat randomly turns on even if 70 degress outside.
Dealer looks at you like you are crazy.
Actually uconnect is whacky.

When this happens, are you seeing the navigation icon do the animation like it's being clicked? It's possible this screen might be experiencing a ghost touch? This potentially could be hardware related, and not software related.

It's possible that you might be experiencing the same issue (Digitizer of the screen acting up), but some spots aren't responding to touch rather than acting on their own. However, the heated seats being activated is a head scratcher. If you have the heated seats icon moved to the home row icons near the media and home, I could see it doing a ghost touch and activating them... But if you don't have the icon there, is it going to the climate screen on its own and activating the heated seats? Or is it just happening with no changes on the screen? If it's the latter, that's a very interesting issue, and I'm not sure what could cause that.

I'm glad mine works good and dosn't have a mind off it's own. Do you have u connect 4 or 5 ? When we first go the truck it had the setting turned on for when it's really cold the heated seat and steering wheel would come on, we went back to Denver and one night I got in and the steering wheel felt nice but the heated seat made my butt feel like I was a piece of bacon in a frying pan very hot and uncomfortable.

Does anyone have an issue with the U-connect navigation turning off when you come to a stop? I set the destination and everything is fine until you come to a stop and start moving again. Then the navigation turns off and you have to reset it. Dealer said it would be correct with an update but its been 7 months now and the updates did not correct the problem.

Besides seat heating and cooling coming on at times when they shouldn't, there is often an error message when changing from home to nav, or home to media etc, something like function not available.

I know seat heat will turn on itself below 40 degrees, but mine will at 70 degrees. I know you can't access nav while driving, but occasionally I can't while sitting still. That plus the display changing on it's own.... There are bugs in the software and Ram knows it because lots of owners have told them.

Is this with the onboard navigation? Or is this through a navigation app via Apple CarPlay / Android Auto? Also, just how does it take for it to happen when you're stopped?

The navigation models use more power than the non-nav, so I'm wondering if this might have something to do with the power cutting if the vehicle has the engine auto start-stop that engages when you stop for longer than 10 seconds (However, this would be the first I've heard of this ever happening, I'm just speculating because it's the only thing that I could think would happen when you're stopped). If you have auto-start stop, can you try disabling it by pressing the button on your bezel, and see if the issue still happens? If that is the solution, you could order one of these on our website, so the vehicle remembers the status of the auto start-stop, so you don't have to press it at every drive cycle. However, this product only works for the 1500 RAM truck, so if you have a Heavy Duty, you could try reaching out to autostopeliminator.com to see if they have a Heavy Duty version.

My '24 radio is squirrelly and no apps used. I seriously doubt that auto start is a factor.
