If I drain my transmission 2019 Ram 2500 with an 8HP75 replace the pan & filter and put the same amount of Ram ZF fluid back in that I took out should be fine right?

No. Procedures can be found online. Basically, you’ll top it off cold using the fill plug. Start it, cycle through gears and wait for a specific temp. You’ll then top it off again before it reaches a higher temp and plug before fluid pours out. You’ll have to remove the crossmember.
I replaced mine using the aluminum PPE pan with replaceable filter.
Yeah, I made a mess this first time, and I did it cheaper, but moreover, I know it was actually done and done correctly. The next one will be easier as I know what I’m doing and I have a drain plug.
