I just purchased a 2025 RAM 1500 Limited. It came with a Truck Bed Cargo Divider. The lock (cylinder) was missing from the center. Has RAM stopped including the lock with the divider?Divider.jpg

2025 Tungsten and no lock on mine either. First experience with this bed divider so I didn't notice until I saw a reference to it in the manual. My assumption is that they changed yet another thing to save a buck and didn't update the manual. I'd be curious is anyone has a recent one with a lock.

Geez, seriously. Now they don’t include the lock cylinder! I have had many trucks with the Rambox option, my newest a 2022 1500. Now I will say I never lock it. But I have a ReTrax rolling cover. If I didn’t have a cover though, I would lock it to keep prying fingers from stealing it.

I agree. They’re saving well under $30 per truck with this move. I’m wondering if this was on purpose or it was just missed by their QC. Have either of you checked with your dealership?

Check out my previous posts on this.
I ended up having to get the lock because sometimes the bed divider work lock itself because there was nothing to prevent the mechanism from sliding into locked position. Maybe I could've kept the thing upside down, I dunno. Buying the lock cylinder solved the issue either way.

Confirmed that Ram is no longer including the lock cylinder with the bed divider. I have nothing good to say about this decision at all. It's a $15 part at best, although they sell it for over $30. And then you have to key it, or pay for someone to key it. In my post below, there's a good video that I used to do it myself. Hope this helps!

Still has me in awe. Ramboy13, you have a ‘25 Tungsten right, and some how a $90k truck gets no lock cylinder, WTF

Ya, don't get me started. I literally spent more on this truck than my first house. Insane.
I've argued with Ram and FCA/Stellantis about the fact that this truck was advertised to have Parksense Automated Parking Sytem as well as the Trailer Surround-View Camera System. And we're still waiting for the Smart Phone as a Key feature, too. All of this was clearly on the code guide at the time I ordered last July, and actually, was for months afterwards. Now we know that the '25 models won't have auto park feature. And it looks like the Trailer Surround View Camera system will be the same (this was a key reason I purchased the Towing Tech Group). Ram admits it was a "mistake" but they claim I never paid for these features. This is the issue with ordering a truck - you don't have a window sticker or a formal build sheet when you sign the contract and place the order. So word of advice to others..... if you order a truck, make sure you get a copy of the code guide and include it with your order - as part of the contract. I wish I had. I never thought that stuff they advertised on TV, on the internet, and in paperwork would be dropped without any explanation or compensation.

When I found out the $30 lock cylinder was something else I had to buy on my own, even after it's clearly mentioned in the owners manual, I was disappointed to say the least. As you said, this is not a $40k truck. Skimping on a such a low cost part is just bad business.
I like this truck, but this all has left a bad taste.
