Ok I have a 2025 Rebel X I've been trying to get my messages to show on my Uconnect. I'm not getting any notifications when i get messages on my phone. I.ve checked all the settings everything is turned on.. Uconnect software is up to date as far as I know.. Am i forgetting anything?? Thx

I think there is a setting on your phone you have to turn on notifications or something. So check that also.

Go to your bluetooth settings and make sure notifications are turned on in your uconnect setting. That might be it, but not sure 100 percent.

Just to double check this.... assuming you're talking iPhone with Apple CarPlay.
Settings --> Bluetooth ---> Uconnect (note this might have a dash and more characters) - select the "i" on the right side, don't just tap the entire line.
Make sure "Show Message Notifications" is enabled.

And in Uconnect, under Vehicle, on the Settings page, under My Profile, make sure "New Text Message Popups" is enabled. You can also enable "Phone Popups Displayed in Cluster"
You can find these under "Notifications" and "Phone/Bluetooth" (respectively).

If I have Uconnect enabled as above, and my phone set to "Show Message Notifications", then every time a new text message comes in, the truck will announce the new message and then read the entire thing. I personally do NOT want this, so I have the "Show Message Notifications" in my phone disabled. Because of this, the ONLY way I know there is a new message is if I'm on the CarPlay screen on Uconnect, and I just happen to look down and see a small green dot on top of the phone icon. In fact, my phone and my watch will not alert me either, as the truck takes priority. I wish there was some way to have the truck just simply alert that a message came in, as it did years ago - but Apple CarPlay does not work that way. Frankly this sucks, but it's an Apple thing, not Ram.
If you have the Uconnect settings enabled, and your iPhone is set up as you've shown, then when you get a new text message, it should be read out-loud as soon as it comes in.
If you're still dead in the water, then I hope someone else can help. I'm out of ideas.

Ok thx I may change that so it doesn’t read it out loud. lol

On my truck if I get a text message, a pop up shows up on my uconnect screen with options. One of the options is to listen to the text message. It won't read the message out loud unless I press the listen button tab on the pop up.

What settings do you have? I’d love to have mine work this way.

This is how mine works if I don't have car play going and I get a new text message. With car play going, car play announces that I have a new text message and who its from. It used to just read the message also but I was able to disable that but I don't remember how. I will try to find out. I'm sure google will know.

I should have mentioned that my post was referring to how it works without Apple CarPlay working. I'm not a big fan of CarPlay so I still haven't used it in my truck.
