Oil to use???

That isn't true, after attending a ZF training course put on by ZF. They stand by the manufacturer recommended maintenance schedules. They have to die to warranty reasons. Off the record is a different story....

Not sure what you're trying to say but it absolutely is true.

Seeing that I'm the first 25 ram 1500 with h/o engine to come to his shop he was asking me for help in specs. Wants to maintain my warranty.
I'm retired so I help with the leg work for my vehicles. He's a small 3 man shop with a huge following, knows his stuff and has built up good and reliable resources over the years.
Again, thanks for all your help.

Easy there, it was a bad attempt at some humour.

But the point is that mechanics don't necessarily know squat about oil, no matter how much you can rely on them to fix your car. Most of them either read the owners manual and dutifully do as told, or even worse just dump in whatever bulk oil they have in their shop tank because "oil is oil".
Your mechanic would have access to Prodemand. Which tells him everything he needs to know about your vehicle including drain plug torque specs and service bulletins. Perhaps you should find someone whos been a certified technician for 3 years. They would be up to date on modern vehicles. Electrical diagnostics, CANBUS. and their education includes Psychology and communications.

My mechanic is excellent. I do my own oil changes because the oil I put in is far better than what the FCA spec calls for.

It's for the entire 8hpxxx lineup yes, chrysler + bmw + landrover etc.
You are kidding me. Wow I am shocked. Almost like I didn't service my fluid at 30k miles and filter and fluid at 60k miles.
