I just put in some LED Fog lights and they hum when turned on. I don't even have good hearing and it's pretty easy to hear when close, like within feet of the front end. You can actually feel them vibrating to the touch.

Normal?

yeah think i caught that thread, and a few others here and on other forums. no mention of buzzing that I can find. I know LEDs in general, like home bulbs, may do it especially on dimmers but this caught me off guard. Wondering if I should keep them or step up to some morimoto assemblies.

AI response to the question of humming so take it for what its worth...
"If your Lasfit LED fog lights are humming, it's likely due to electromagnetic interference (EMI) or radio frequency interference (RFI), which is a common issue with LED lighting, especially when they operate at higher frequencies.

Here's a breakdown of potential causes and solutions:

Possible Causes:
  • Electromagnetic Interference (EMI):
LED drivers can generate electromagnetic noise, which can interfere with other electronic devices in your vehicle, causing a humming or buzzing sound.

  • Radio Frequency Interference (RFI):
Similar to EMI, RFI can also cause interference, especially when the LEDs operate at higher frequencies.

  • Loose Connections:
Check for any loose connections or corrosion in the wiring harness or connectors to the fog lights.

  • Faulty LED Driver:
The LED driver itself might be faulty and causing the humming noise.

  • Fan Noise:
Some LED fog lights have fans for cooling, and a noisy fan can also contribute to the humming sound."

thanks for the info. I guess I'll eave them in for now and monitor it. I also have an email out to Lasfit, we'll see what they say.

Update: I shot an email to Lasfit and they said there are fans on the bulbs that might result in the noise. They asked for video.

Well, I haven't had a chance to check personal emails and shortly after that response, and before I even read that reply, I got another email saying I had a shipment coming from them. Appears they sent replacements. Okay, that was nice of them I guess 🤷‍♂️.

I'll see if the new ones have the same behavior and report back.

Only if they can keep with the beat and know the tune
