Lifting my Ram on Wednesday. Should I do 33” or 35” tires?

Ok here she is. I went with 33s for now. I can always do 35s later I just wanted to play it safe. I’m actually very happy with it.

should have gone with 35's would have filled in the wheel well better, but looks decent

Yeah I would of went 35s or not went with a 3”+ lift. Looks like your truck skipped leg day

The Coopers I currently have on my truck are about 33", I believe. They look good, but if I lifted I would probably go 35". Either way, OP's wheels look cool.

Man I’m surprised the shop convinced you to not do 35s I’d go to a different shop from now on. Would’ve fit more than fine, didn’t even know you have bushwhackers looks like there is a ton of room. The mpg hit isn’t even that bad most of the time and worth it. Your axles will be perfectly fine. I’m sure you’ll swap over at some point but the wheels do look great. I know people don’t like spacers and depends what you’re doing in the truck but some like 1.5-2inch wheels spacers might help the look. Only matters if you think it looks good! We all got different taste.

I feel like 33s are ok for a Level Lift (+1.75"), and 34s are ok for a 2.5" Lift, but 35s are mandatory for a 3.5" Lift...these tire sizes are minimum for each lift or the tires will look undersized.

There's a bit of an optical illusion that happens with leveling/lifting & tire sizing.

33s on a 18" rim versus on a 20" rim also gives a more Off-Road "Lifted" look.

My Laramie is Leveled with stock puny 31.9s and it has a slight Lifted look...33s would make it look better for sure, but stuff 35s in there and the truck wouldn't look Lifted at all even though it would certainly be higher.

It's a real mix of factors in deciding what setup to go with

I went into my shop asking for 35’s and he said I should only run 33’s. Then after they installed the lift and had 33’s on, he took the 33’s off and installed the 35’s for no extra charge. 35’s fit perfectly with the 3.5 lift and with +12 back spacing.
