I get a voice announcement on uconnect every time I get a text message. It's loud and annoying. How do I turn it off? I've went thru the settings and google and can't find an answer.

Try “Hey Siri, turn off message notifications “

I don't want to turn off the notification on my phone, just the notification thru uconnect. When I am driving and listening to the radio, I don't want a loud notification telling me I have a new text message from whoever coming thru the truck speakers.

I think your only option is to turn off the CarPlay notifications. On your phone, Settings --> Bluetooth --> Uconnect (select i) --> Show Message Notifications (de-select this option)

There is no way to have it announce that you have a new message without reading the entire thing. You either get no notification through Uconnect, or you have the entire message read.

Apple or Android because I was able to turn them off in Android Auto settings. Now I just get a notification at the lower portion of the screen and it doesn't announce anything.

I should have qualified that my response was for Apple CarPlay. As far as I’ve been able to research, you have two options. One option is to have it announced a new message and read it in its entirety. The second option is for no announcement audibly at all. You can still see a pop-up on your screen for Uconnect that shows you have a new message. But it is only transitory.

I found the setting on my android phone that should stop the notifications thru uconnect.
