Frequently when l park my 2019 Ram Limited 1500 I will come back and the passenger side rear corner will be lower than the other corners. I usually raise the truck to Off-Road 1 and then lower back down to Normal and the truck levels out. I also have issues with trying to drive in Aero mode. I get Suspension System Cooling messages. So I have turned aeromode "off". The compressor runs quite often after I park the truck.

I'm thinking about replacing the one shock (rear passenger) and seeing if that will fix the problem. I can get the part for around $550 on Mopar Oem outlet. I'm not in a position to replace the whole suspension system right now. Any other suggestions?

I don't know much about the air suspension system but it sounds like you have a leak. It could be an air spring but it could also be an air line causing it. If it were me I'd get under the truck with some soapy water and see if I can locate a leak in the system before I start replacing parts.

We will look for the leak, but my reasoning is it is always the rear passenger side corner that goes down.

That's where you should start your check then. Especially since you are getting the cooling message, which likely means the system is working overtime to compensate for the leak.

You can always go for the delete kit if you don't want to deal with air suspension too, which is what I'll be doing the first time mine ('22) gives me an issue.

I believe… there are links in the suspension that sense ride height and the compressor adjusts accordingly.
This is a total shot in the dark, but maybe the link for that corner is broken/bent and the compressor is trying to overcompensate for it..
Total guess, but it may be as simple as that?

I would give it a look.

Thank you! That sounds like what it could be. I made a long trip this past week. Up and down the whole trip. At the end it stayed down and rode as rough as can be. Then, on the night before our return it stayed down and I couldn't get it to come up (Selected Height Not Permitted). Rough trip for 4 hours (luckily it was mostly interstate). It was stuck in Aero. Then after refueling and trying another time to get it to switch I was frustrated and started pushing the button up many times rapidly and saying bad words. I looked and the lights were blinking and it was raising! Got it back to Normal height and rode home with the smoothest ride I've had in a long time. Two days later the truck is still up in Normal position (and my compressor doesn't run nearly as often). I know this sounds crazy but could it have been something as simple as a switch that wasn't completely set? I will also have my mechanic look for the link in the corner. Maybe it depends on how the truck is sitting to keep the leak closed or open?

thanks for all ya'll's help. I don't want to air delete because the main reason I bought the truck was because of the smooth ride (like the one I enjoyed for four hours coming home!)

Been home 5 days and the truck is staying up with no issues! It's like its been reborn. Any ideas why? (I'm sure I'm jinxing myself by posting this!)

You didn't say where you are located or what the weather was like where you were experiencing issues. But the fact that winter is coming to an end could have something to do with your truck seeming to have fixed itself. Air suspension systems can be sensitive to the ambient temperatures in winter. What were the temps when you were seeing issues and what are the temps now that it's working again?
