So before I go undoing bolts in my center console what’s everyone’s wiring route through the firewall to their switch? I bought a 3D printed mount for my 600 switch and will likely follow waterfowler41’s install with 1 change. I want to drill a small hole in the back wall of the small cubby under my charging pad to the left of the center console storage bin. If I route there I can run my wire down into the lower bin and connect to my switch as needed. If I want to remove the switch simply tucking the wire from the firewall back into the cubby should make things pretty invisible. Does anyone know what’s behind that cubby wall? From Waterfowlers video it doesn’t appear to be much of anything but if someone has been there before I would love to hear before I go removing bolts.

There's some brackets back there, but you should be fine. You can reach your hand back there and feel it. Just confirm multiple times before you drill.

Were you able to drill though at this location without hitting anything? I tried to get my hand in there to verify but I can’t reach it. I am installing an auxbeam controller as well and had the same idea bot don’t want to drill until I’m sure.

I just installed a dual band radio in the console, I routed the antenna cable and 12v power through the pocket.
To get a clear path to drill a hole through the top wall of the pocket you have to do the following:
Remove the front dash trims at either side of the console, they pull off and are held in place by friction clips.
Unbolt and remove the console from the vehicle; there are 6x 10mm bolts to remove. Two bolts underneath the front dash trims, two at the front bottom and rear bottom of the console.
There are 5 connectors to disconnect, 3x to the USB hub, 1x to the 120v inverter, 1x to the Ram charger, and 1x main harness disconnect.
With the console out, pull the top edges off of the console, they are retained by friction clips.
There are 4x screws underneath, remove them, and two screws above the cd player.
Disconnect the cd player connector and lift the cd player off of the console.
There are 2x screws to remove from behind the Ram charger and it will lift out of console.
You now have easy access to the top wall of the pocket to drill a hole for routing of wires.
It's an easy task, just take care pulling the front dash trims, and the console top edge trims loose. The seats will have to be moved all the way forward to access the 2 rear console mounting bolts.
