I bought my ram 1500 on Tuesday and it has been pulling to the right ever since I drove it home. At highway speeds it pulls right fairly harshly to the point I'm concerned it could put me in the ditch if I forgot and took my hands off the wheel. I have an appointment on Tuesday to check the alignment (only at 215 miles). They told me they were going to check the alignment after I test drove it, but I'm thinking they either did not check it or they did check it and it tested in the green on all parameters? After finding this thread I'm a little stressed about it now. I didn't realize this was an issue. I'm crossing my fingers that they will get it driving straight for me. I love the truck so far, but not sure I can drive it long term like this. Sucks spending all this money and facing issues this early, but I understand its a process and hopefully the Mopar mechanics will know what to do.

they can get it right if the follow the correct procedure don't worry. mine was the same way, but when they followed the correct procedure, it straightened right out. I could not be happier with mine now.

Hey guys!
Really good stuff here. I have a different scenario and am looking for some help. I didn’t have the pull or steering wheel issue but did just have a 3.5” lift installed. The truck still drives straight and silky smooth at 80 done the highway but that doesn’t mean it’s in spec for great tire wear. However, I’m concerned even with this process that taking it to dealer for alignment “could” make it worse and won’t have the time to keep going back. My local mechanic who is great, doesn’t have 2025 in his system yet so does anyone have the specs that I can give him to use along with the sweep process to get me right? Thanks in advance!

What happened to the days of aligning a car based on a level for camber and string for toe? Will that work? I had similar issues with my '87 Camaro. The specs defined for that car were also out of whack.

I plan on taking my truck to a local shop that lifts trucks and does alignments. I would think that adding a lift would require altered specs, so how do these shops do it? Factory specs don't work on a modified vehicle.

Do you have the 2025 Ram 1500?

Just a be clear here..since most of us are running 2019-2024 DTs..is this alignment issue something that is ONLY an issue on the new 2025s? Has anyone had similar alignment issues with the previous DTs?
(The 2025s have many differences from the '19-24s..I almost feel like they should have a designation, maybe "DT 2.0")🤔😉

as far as I know the alignment issue spoke of here seems to be specific to 25s at least that's my take as everyone I have conversed with and are having the same problem have had 25s.

That's what I was starting to think👍

update, it's an alignment process issue. Mine is all fixed now and drives straight as an arrow and the wheel is straight. took them all day, 4 times on the rack resetting the steering wheel sensor and a trip to the tech pages within the dealer network and many test drives but they got it fixed.
I was told that what they were missing was a new process for the 25s of sweeping the rack after setting the caster camber before setting the toe adjustment. they did that and boom its perfect now.
Can you please send me the name of your dealer so I can have my dealer contact them? They can’t figure it out.

I have my appointment set for Monday for my alignment issue. I just put "tech will need to sweep the rack" in the service ticket so maybe that'll cue them in to do the correct procedure.
