Hey beautiful Ram men I ran my truck through a rainy puddle and it was about as high as my hood and the next day my coolant temp and engine temp read engine overheating I see smoke and leak in my coolant so I replaced my radiator for the first time there are no more leaks but it is still overheating I can’t find any videos on how to bleed out the cooling system any help would be amazing also if you need help on how to change a heater core I did it for 100 for the part dealership quoted $2,000 smh any help on how to bleed out the coolant would be amazing please thank you!

run the heater and let engine run, then use one of those radiator bowl thing.
something like this: https://a.co/d/bDoDjfF

obviously put some coolant in there before you start but don't overfill it. as the engine runs and the coolant get cycled, you MAY have coolant coming out into the bowl, that is normal since there's air in the system. just let it run until it stops bubbling.

I truly, truly wish those type of bowls/fill systems were around when I wrenched on cars years ago.
Can’t tell you how many times you waited for it open the Tstat, burp it on the floor…and over and over again…lol.
That would’ve been a clean up and time saver!

It's called a funnel. I have one wth a wide enough spout it fits in the fill cap and with a little pressure seals good enough to do just that.

Yep.. well aware of that.
Most funnels don’t come with that sealing plug you remove to let it drain/fill/burp.. then you can seal it up with no more air…and not drip/leave fluid everywhere.

yeap i just did one the other day... i thought it was bled already so went for a test drive but nope. had to use the messy method lol
our master tech uses the vacuum tool to suck vacuum out of the entire system then let the system suck all the coolant in. no bleeding required.

I have vaccume kit also very handy though I forgot to use it on the Honda rancher engine I just rebuilt.
