What Oil Filter wrench are you using?

Same type I use. As long as it’s the correct diameter and the handle pivots down when using it will work well.

This one, no need to drop that kind of coin on it. I bought mine while I was going to college and had a 50% discount almost 10 years ago. There are plenty out there like it that will perform just as good.

Yeah but how are you getting your ratchet to connect? There doesn't seem to be enough room. I have a "Cup" Styler as well and I keep hitting the metal under it I can't even attach it

I did see this but didn't see how used the other thing without the ratchet.
SEE POST 15 Please after reading this, my apologies.
I use an extension bar on both oil filter wrenches with the ratchet. From what I can recall from my last oil change it is a small arc with the ratchet and it may be an 8" extension bar. I believe I have also used the wrench as per #1 post, again a very small arc and limited access.
Also tried this one:

I don't remember the last time I used a wrench. I keep a strap wrench in the tool box in case someone before me felt the need to use a wrench to over torque the filter when installing. Install a filter hand tight enough compress the gasket a little and it will never come lose. If it requires a wrench to remove it's been installed tighter than necessary, but this is very common. When I worked in a garage, I've saw several spun on so tightly they had to be cut and chiseled off.

This doesn't give me confidence lol

Extensions that drop the ratchet handle below the axle. I have since installed a filter relocation kit.

I don't see how thats possible because the axle bar is in the way?

I use my hand.
It doesn't need to be farmer tight, just a smidge past snug.

I made a mistake (I have CRS, elderly). I use the attached photo "flex head ratchet" bar on the cup style oil filter wrench. The ratchet doesn't work because it drops the handle to far down and it can not be "swung". The flex head brings it up "tight" and it can be "swung". I only use it to "break" it loose which isn't much.
I believe (also have CRAFT) I use an extension with a ratchet on the top left oil filer wrench. I've used the one in the package but it was a little bit PITA. Not sure if I've used the one on the right.

I do the oil changes for the family fleet, excuse my recollection.

CRAFT haha, that is epic. I mean, CRS is pretty bad by itself.

With enough play and not caring it was on square it will come off. Dont overthink it.

After getting the factory filter off, you should never need to use a filter wrench. There is absolutely no need to tighten the filter so tight that it can't be removed by hand.

FWIW, I just use a rubber strap wrench I got from harbor Freight when needed. Works better than any filter wrench.
