Looking to install a Fitcam and figured I'd hardwire a new radar detector at the same time.

Should I just tie into the clip/wire used for the Fitcam to power the radar detector or is there a better way?

Also, I noticed my charger on top of the dash is always on. If I'm not mistaken, can I change the fuse position to have it only on with the truck?

Appreciate any help.

Which one did you use, the 900070 or the 900075, with the hot 12v leads, and if this one, did you have to convert from 12v to 5v for the Fitcam?
I purchased the 900070. This would be used in conjunction with the connector that is used with the FitCam. So you would connect one end to the mirror then the add the FitCam connector. Hide the wires and both have the correct power without splicing anything.

Thanks. I just ordered the 900070 today. I appreciate the assist.

I would be way of the amount draw in that circuit run jng the dash cam, radar detector and mirror all at once.

Also, does your radar detector use the RJ11 style power connector.

Escort Redline 360, so, yep, RJ11. I have had a Redline since the Redline line came out 20 years ago. However, I'm not knowledgeable at all about electrical issues and circuits. Are you saying it would be too much of a draw on the circuit to run the mirror, Redline, and FitCamX on that one connector?

I have been running a Redline and Escort DashCam2 off my 2020 mirror (I used the Blendmount pins with RJ11) for 5 years with no issues. Is this a bad setup?

Would depend on the circuit. I don't know what the fuse rating is for it. But there is a chance.
