Greetings, I am excited to join the community. I just picked up a white 2019 limited and I love this truck. This is the second truck I have owned, about 10 years ago I had a 2001 Laramie SLT and that thing was a beast. But since then, the wife and I moved back to North Carolina from Nevada and ended up trading it in for a Lincoln MKX. The small apartment we rented for a while in a dense city, did not fit the older truck and without a garage, I was not able to fix the things small things that it needed. You should have seen what I had to do to, just to change the oil pick up tube... Anyway, the town car had a twin turbo V6 and all wheel drive which is what really sold me. There were a lot of other features that made it awesome. All the creature comforts were amazing and I'll be honest, down here in the Southeast, once I had cooling seats, I don't want to drive anything else without them. I got spoiled with the Lincoln, but again, once you have those options, they practically become standard for future purchases. Like a quick note, it was a full sized car, so it sat pretty high, but when you turned it off, the telescoping steering wheel would pull away from you, and the driver seat would travel all the way back so you had all the room to get out. Then when you climbed back in and turned it on, everything went right back to the previous settings. It had a pair of presets as well, but I am sure to most people, that doesn't sound like much, but in the first 2-3 months of owning the Terrain, I would bang my knee on as I climbed out and hit my head as I got in. Not saying that because this truck doesn't do this it will be a problem, because there is already plenty of room to get in and out of. Just mentioning that it is really nice when the manufacturer takes notice and provides those little touches to make the driving experience more pleasant.

Nevertheless, not trying to sell you all on buying a town car, so skip ahead a few hurricanes and I no longer have the Lincoln and picked up a mid sized SUV. But recently we bought a house in a rural area and I disparately needed a truck again. The Terrain I picked up did not have an option for towing and putting lumber inside was a pain. But with the prices for new and used trucks being where they are, something new was definitely not in my price range. And to be honest, my eyes were not looking at anything top end like these in a Limited trim. However, I happened to stumble upon this one for around $25k. Gently used, more than reasonably priced so I immediately jumped on it. I am so glad that I did too, these trucks are really nice.

So as soon as I climbed into this truck and seen all the switches and buttons to assist with any situation, I knew it would be able to handle anything I would need it to do. But as soon as I started driving it, the air ride suspension sold me. It was so smooth... Well I am sure you all know exactly what I am talking about and I am just preaching to the choir. I am still learning about this truck and it's capabilities, currently this is my main commute to work. But I love it, they did a great job with these.

Around the same time that I owned the 2001 ram, my wife picked up a Rallye Dart and I have mixed opinions about it. Fun to drive, but the gear ratios were off. Looked and wanted to go fast, but was severely limited. Let me know if you are thinking about picking one up and want an honest opinion. The reason I am mentioning it is, the 7.5" or so touch screen display was a little glitchy, then there were all the sensors on everything and the main control board was in the engine bay which got really hot from the giant turbo and sometimes on hot days, the car would act funny. Anyway, again, when I climbed into the truck for the first time, I was excited about all the options. But already having a history with a Chrysler brand tech heavy system. I am a little fearful it may be a repeat when summers come around, I looked into the problems a bit, but mostly it was the leather on the dash bubbling. Which, i have to say is only cosmetic and I have already put a cover on it.

Again, picked this up used, has over 130k miles but looks, drives and sounds great. Clean history, only one previous owner, very few and very small blemishes, but nothing major and most can only bee seen if pointed out. I know while I could probably get 15+ years out of it if I perform all recommended maintenance and drive it like my grandmother is in the back. But with all the personal accumulated experience in this group, is there anything I need to look out for? Need to be aware of?

Thank you in advance, I look forward to becoming a member of the community. (not my picture but this looks exactly like the one I picked up. Besides, is more professional than I would be able to take.)

I had a white 2019 limited until i traded her in. :) That was the best truck or car the wife and i ever had. Until we got our Tungsten. :) Best of luck with it.

Thank you, best of luck with your new truck as well. I did not dive into it too much, but is it only available with the 3.0 Hurricane? I had the Ecoboost motor in the Lincoln and it was nice, not quite tuned like the SHO but it was strong enough to be used in the Ford F-150 and then ultimately able to handle the upgrades to be used in the GT. Still was able to put a smile on my face when the boost kicked in LOL but this inline 6 twin turbo has some real impressive numbers. How does it drive?

Great truck hope you have fun with it and welcome to the forum.

I watched a quick video on the tubes where some truck enthusiasts took one of the new F-150's with the 3.5 twin turbo v6 ecoboost as well as a new ram limited with the 3.0 I6 hurricane and put them through a few quick tests. They were pretty even except when they did a 0-60 launch, the ram jumped and took off and did it in just under 6 sec. LOL not a race car by any means, but for a full sized truck, it was unexpected.
