Hello all, first time I had to do this with our new Laramie.
Went to load gear for ice fishing, the sled is too long for the tailgate to be closed.
Is there an "overide" to get the lights off? All the puddle lights and interior stay on until all the doors are shut (including the tailgate). I was driving at night and early morning. The interior lights are bright, exterior ones don't matter to me.
I used a screwdriver to fake latch it and that of course turns them off. Just need to be sure to "open" the tailgate so it latches again.
Any ideas?

You should be able to turn off the lights in the upper console, there is a rocker switch, unless your model doesn't have it. as well as a button on the headlight control. Upper button in the middle is fog lights lower button is bed light. I have a 2019 Bighorn. again, not sure of it is the same in your truck

You didn't provide any vehicle info. But on mine, the cargo lights stay on until I turn them off with the button on the headlight panel. As far as interior, there is a button in the overhead console. But they shouldn't stay on when the tailgate is down. Mine never do.

Yea I had this issue when I went to drop the tailgate with the key fob when it was frozen. Lights came on but tailgate stuck shut. I was in a hurry and had to be somewhere so I was just going to turn the lights off and go but couldn't find a way. I ended up pouring some warm water down the sides of the tailgate to thaw the latches and it opened allowing me to slam it shut and get the lights to go out.
