I opened my passenger side, rear door like any other day and then when I went to close it, the lock is stuck in the locked position. Thankfully, I’m at home and in my driveway but now I can’t secure my vehicle…
I didn’t slam the door so it’s not forced into its position hopefully.
I have the door mostly assembled thinking maybe something just came disconnected but I’m to the point where I’m at the interior panel and I can’t get it off without removing the glass. And I’m feeling like I’m hitting the place where I’m out of my depth.
Does anyone know a trick or away to manually cause the door to unlock so I can at least shut the door after reassembly? I’ve tried the simple version of just applying a little bit of pressure to the door lock while pulling the exterior or interior handle and neither will cause it to unlock.
The door does have power because the power windows / power locks / speaker all work.
My dealer can’t deal with it until Thursday, but I’m not going to leave it on their lot unsecured until then..
