Can you start w/o Key Fob?

With out going into a long discussion of what happened because it was strange , but it left me wondering. Say you were out somewhere did not lock your truck and lost your fob. Is there any way of starting your truck with your key (not the one in your fob)? Or are you S O L . This leaves me wondering especially if you are out in east jesus and the nearest dealer is hundreds of miles away.

Nope, you cannot. The FOB has a chip in it that communicates with the truck to allow you to start it. Without it, no such communication exists. So, don't lose it.

What key are you talking about if you don't mean the one in your fob?

Yep it seems to be done all the time. Not being a car thief, I don't know how.

Well I have a key (s) that locks my interior cargo gate and it also unlocks my doors. Factory supplied.

I have one as well, but it was the one in the fob. Didn't realize they supplied just a key like that.
