So it seems the brake pedal pressure thing works to keep the clanks at bay but why is this happening? Do we just be mindful of pedal pressure and forget about it?

According to the Safelite glass tech today, I have a rain sensor but there is no setting for it. Does anyone know how to activate this feature?

Mine does the same. But with less frequency. Very erratic. Sometimes 2 in a row then maybe 1 in 20 starts. Mine sounds like a metallic clank and I'm guessing it's in the exhaust system. I have asked the dealer crew at oil change time but no response. They probably couldn't get it to do it...
