I added the seal because I had "road noise" sounded like the back window was open at 55 mph+.... Some have removed the seal because of "wind noise" . Possibly with the seal the vents don't open properly and we get too much cabin pressure. Possibly without the seal we get the vent open too...

I am one of the many that added the seal. It did help with the "road noise". I have been following these threads about "wind noise" and haven't experienced that yet.... I couldn't help but think they may be related. Now I'm thinking that possibly the rear cabin vents are NOT functioning...

Shouldn't use the word "purse" on a pickup forum:ROFLMAO:....JK... I bought a desk organizer @ Office Depot and put it in the bottom (minimal clearance= minimal options) I also utilized the file holder on the back wall to hold receipts et. Works well!

I also installed the seal today in about 5 minutes. The road noise is now minimal! Can you say Happy Camper! Thanks for the help RAM PEOPLE!!

Thanks I'll try that! My truck is only 2 weeks old so I would think Connect is current, but???

@ DinDallas or others with this problem.My truck is doing the exact same thing. Please report back with the diagnosis ...probably noTSB on this yet. I am expecting a few more "bugs" and don't want to bring it in just for this one thing.... THANKS!

2 other questions/obsevations: A lot of us with the road noise have tonneau covers. I wonder if the aerodynamics are affected by the cover causing the vents to activate prematurely or open up further or all the way. It appears that the vents activate/open fairly easily. With all of the AC...

I just ordered it! Less than $20 shipped to my door is worth it to make it go away! Like many others the test drive vehicle I drove didn't have this road noise... BTW "bonebro" thank you for doing the "legwork" on this!(y)

I picked up my truck last Saturday and have the road noise issues as well.(85 miles):rolleyes:.. For those of you who have had the horizontal seal installed did it work? If so, has anyone gotten an explanation on why it has been omitted? I would rather just order one and install it myself than...
