  • 2019 5th gen brought in for wind noise both front doors. They removed my bug shield and said that was the issue. It wasn’t!! Will call dealership again today for one more try. If it doesn’t get fixed I’ll be trading it in , taking my losses and buying another brand. It’s a shame, I love the truck but am not going to listen to wind noise for the nxt 5 years.

There is a threadthat discusses this very problem. It is urns out that builds after about 8/18 don’t have the bottom seal between the bed and cab. At highway speed, aero forces force open a cabin vent located in the center of the rear cab wall near the floor. That lets in much road noise.

The seal costs about $15 at the dealer and installation is DIY. Reports are that it cures the problem.

Doh Hauler, you just explained the reason for what I am hearing when I just pulling onto the highway. I though a rear passenger door was open or a door seal was missing as the road noise made my head spin when I first hear it . I even ran my hand around the door seal thinking it didn’t seat/seal. But never thought about the cab vent opening up. Thanks

@Highlander: you're welcome. I forgot to mention that the thread I cited discusses the possibility that the noise problem occurs only when a no seal truck meets up with a bed cover. But, I have a no seal truck with a bed cover and don't have a noise problem. Do you have a post 8/18 build? Does it have a bed cover? Regardless, glad to help.
