So I was bringing home some 8' boards in my 2020 Laramie with the 6'4" bed and I was trying to find a way to attach a ratchet strap to the tailgate to cinch it halfway closed to secure the load and I was unable to find any way to attach the ratchet hook to my multi-function tailgate. Is there...
Hello! I'm hoping someone here has a solution to a mildly annoying issue in my 2020 Ram 1500. I run all my audio needs through my iPhone 11 via the USB port but sometimes when I start the truck it will blare the radio even though I have my phone connected. I never listen to the radio so I'd love...
Door sticker says GVWR of 7,100 lbs. The trailer weighs about 4,000lbs but puts about 520 lbs on the ball (level) since it's a single axle and it's tank placements.
Yeah, see? At max towing capacity you're at 1121 lbs on the ball. That leaves you 229 lbs of payload. So a larger adult male and a water bottle. This is all theoretical of course. If you're pulling a 11,000 lbs trailer you should be in a 2500 but . . . . . it's a bit deceptive. Lesson learned.
Yeah. You're exactly right. It just seems a bit low. It's all the add-ons on my Laramie but I thought moving up to a 1/2 ton truck from my old Ascent would give me more breathing room when it came to hauling stuff while pulling a trailer. I have my wife and three kids so I'll need to pay...
I do have the multi-function tailgate. I reduced that to "MTG" in my signature. (I'll revise that now). No sun roof. No ram boxes. I'm not sweating it for the trailer I'm pulling. I have plenty of capacity as my tongue weight on my single axle, 19' trailer is at most 550lbs. It's just the...
So I've had my Ram 1500 for a week now and I love it. It's a pleasure to drive and I look forward to pulling my 19' Shasta Airflyte. I am well within towing capacity for that TT which is great as it was pushing my old Subaru Ascent with it's 5,000 lbs towing capacity - especially with it tongue...
It wouldn't take much to do better on the rails. The divider itself is a nice piece though if you're looking for something light weight. Got mine on eBay for $180.
Hey all,
Yesterday I installed the Mopar bed divider using the BUG cargo rails. It works okay but there's one major issue. The idea is that Mopar divider runs on it's own rails that mount onto the Ram cargo rails with the use of 3 aluminum insets that you use to screw the two rails together...
ProClip all the way. I've used these mounts on my last three vehicles.
Here's their site: Phone Mounts for Your Car Dashboard
You select the mount for the 1500 according to year and then find a cradle for your phone. Things to consider:
1. It's a strong, minimalist mount that holds the phone...
