Hey everyone,
I got quoted a price of $2587 to buy and install a Leer 100XL camper shell on my Ram 1500, 6 foot bed. That's including tax. Is this ballpark about what I should expect to pay or am I getting ripped off?
I should add that's with carpeted headliner and that's it, no other add ons...
Hey all,
My Big Horn is black with chrome trim. Dislike the chrome, want to black it out. Options are plastidip, vinyl wrapping, or getting new parts. I've been trying to find the part numbers for the black trim pieces, but it's been difficult. The parts I get referred to are actually the...
Just adding my data point and experiences. I have a 2019 Big Horn with the 3.21. I added LT 275/65/20 Falken Wildpeaks and Fuel vapor wheels. That tire and rim combo is heavy. We're talking 66 lbs per tire and 46 lbs per wheel, so 112 lbs on each corner. The truck drives just fine. The 5.7 has...
Actually I think you misinterpreted him. He's trying to explain how 3.21 is better for gas mileage. It's the other guy who is throwing out some outlandish claims like "3.92 is better from 0-80 mph"
I bought my Big Horn Quad Cab used. Since then:
-Bilstein 5100 2 inch level.
-Fuel Vapors at +2 offset
-Falken Wildpeak 275/65/20
-Airlift 1000HD airbags
-Airlift Gen2 WirelessONE onboard aircompressor
-UWS Toolbox
-Line X
I eventually want to:
-Black out the trim and badges. Bumpers and...
275/65/20
I was debating between that and 285/60/20. They were very similar in weight. I don't think there's a wrong choice here, pretty sure the 275s were cheaper so I went with those.
I just got the 5100s installed at setting 5 on my Big Horn. Regular OEM springs (not off road). Also added Fuel Vapors, Falken Wildpeaks, and Airlift 1000HD airbags with the electronic compressor/controller. Very very pleased how it turned out.
There's a load in the bed (the old tires and...
Awesome man. Thanks for help, can't wait to put them on my truck. I think I'm also going to order the ready lift UCAs, just for peace of mind and in case I want to do a full 3.5/1.5 inch lift later
Thanks for the response, I don't have the ORP. I'm debating doing a full lift or a level. Seeing as I don't really offroad anymore I might just do a level. Is there any considerable difference in ride quality between setting 5 and setting 6?
I have a quad cab bighorn. Can someone confirm that we will or will not need UCAs for setting 6 (2.2") on the bilsteins?
Also, does anyone have the part number for the ORP springs?
I live in Eastern NC. With v8, 4x4, 3.21, and level two equipment package (or around there), most rams are selling from $31,000-$34,000 for around 20k. Anything less than $30k would be a pretty good deal, especially if it's OTD pricing.
