Please help with level and tire size.... 2021 Ram 1500

Sounds great, I’m sure I’m not the only one who would love to see pics if you have any. Did you go with the 2” level as planned or is the suspension all stock?

Please help with level and tire size.... 2021 Ram 1500

I have a 2021 Limited- air ride, 3.21 gears, no off road package. I went to 285/60/20 Nitto Recon Grapplers. Didn‘t touch the suspension and I get no rubbing at all, no issues whatsoever. I did swap out the wheels though, same 20x9 size but with a +1 offset +19 stock. That extra 3/4”...

Advice for Tires on 2023 Limited

Road noise is undetectable below 40 mph, negligible above that (Low 90’s is as far as I’ve gone). I‘m about 7000 miles in on this set up and wouldn’t change a thing.

Advice for Tires on 2023 Limited

I have a 2021 Limited, still very happy with this set up: https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/they’re-on-lt285-60r20-on-2021-limited-no-lift-level-orp.46186/

    10 Ply Rated Tires

I bought the truck from Mullen but it was the Southampton dealership that wouldn’t do the recalibration. Next oil change I plan on taking it back to Mullen to do it. I live in Sag Harbor so Southampton is a little closer, which is why I went there first.

    10 Ply Rated Tires

I went to 285/60/20, E rated, on my Limited last year. Absolutely love it. I think the air ride helps here. Here is a write up of my experience, complete with the update on an unplanned 3000 mile road trip...

    They’re on- LT285/60R20 on 2021 Limited: no lift/level/ORP

I wasn’t too concerned because I had done my homework, mostly here. The Rebel has an extra inch of clearance beyond my air ride truck (in normal mode), but even then I was more concerned about width. Going from +19 to +1 offset and only widening the tires to 285 made me confident that I...

    They’re on- LT285/60R20 on 2021 Limited: no lift/level/ORP

When I took it to my local dealer for the state inspection in December they told me it couldn’t be done. Like you said, I know it can be done. Next oil change I’ll take it to the dealer that I bought it from, they aren’t much further away. Now that I think about it, after 3000 miles in the...

    They’re on- LT285/60R20 on 2021 Limited: no lift/level/ORP

Update: I just got back from an unplanned (thanks Southwest!) road trip, eastern Long Island to the FL Keys. 1500 miles each way. I couldn’t be happier with the way the truck performed. Most of my miles at home are country roads, 50mph and less. This was my first major highway trip with the...

    They’re on- LT285/60R20 on 2021 Limited: no lift/level/ORP

By the way, here is my truck in Off Road 1 mode, this should be the same as Normal ride height for your ORP truck on the way. This way you can get a good idea of what 285/60s would look like on your set up.

    They’re on- LT285/60R20 on 2021 Limited: no lift/level/ORP

Thank you! I get no rubbing whatsoever in the normal setting. The only time my truck is in aero mode is at highway speeds and I haven’t had a problem there. I haven’t done a lock-to-lock test in aero because it’s not relevant to me, no way I’m doing a full lock turn at 70mph. I brought it...

    New Shoes

Did you consider a level/lift? I did for a while but in the end I didn’t want to mess with the air suspension. I know it has worked out well for some but I’ve seen too many set ups where the front is too high and it didn’t look right. Given the way it turned out (the look, no rubbing at all)...

    New Shoes

Looking great! I put on the same size tires (Recons) on my 2021 Limited a few weeks ago and couldn’t be happier with the result. https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/they’re-on-lt285-60r20-on-2021-limited-no-lift-level-orp.46186/

Michelin Defenders LTX M/S Fit Question

I think 275/65 will fit just fine, especially since you have the 1” lift built in. I recently went with Nitto Recons, 285/60r20 and I don’t have the off road package. Details here: https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/they’re-on-lt285-60r20-on-2021-limited-no-lift-level-orp.46186/

    They’re on- LT285/60R20 on 2021 Limited: no lift/level/ORP

Thanks for the suggestion @Idahoktm , I’ll check out AlphaODB. After a couple more days of driving with the new set up a few more observations: - I‘ll revise my comment above about zero difference in power delivery. Below 40 mph I really can’t tell a difference. Above that, there is a...
