Yes, they are accessible via menu as well. Physical buttons are easier imo

I don't see why you need a 12" unit for seat controls. I have a laramie with the 8.4" head unit and seat controls (vented/heated) are real buttons

LIN bus is 12V @ 19200baud with only one line. Both transmit and receive is done on same line in a ring. So it might be tough to figure out which message is meant for what device and which device responds to the master.

There really should be an AlfaOBD main thread in this forum, with sub threads for each of the items you can add/change. Searching this giant thread is becoming a pain in the ***.
