Fresh Cab is great against mice and smells nice. If you don't mind pepermint, buy pure peppermint oil and bless the inside of the truck. We have lots of field mice and had a motorhome parked outside for 8yrs, never once had anything inside chewed through.
I have one and in hindsight I would not buy another. Just get spray in liner like linex and add a rubber mat if you need anti slip. The way the dualliner is made, it will eventually rub through your paint and if there is moister it will rust. When I saw the rubbing spots, I wrapped the plastic...
I guess that does not really matter, since the radio is android and can do all apps natively..just needs hotspot.
How long does it take to boot, from a cold startup of the truck. Is it as fast as uconnect?
@Carlos.33193 are you able to confirm if android auto wireless works? I see conflicting info from their site. In a youtube video they show it works, but on their site says non supported. The site might have old info.
If android auto wirless works, then this is a great price for what this radio...
Don't forget to air your tires down. Use a piece of pool noodle around the flag pole from damaging your paint. As for mounting, anywhere you can fit an L bracket. If you go the route of L bracket behind license plate, use zip ties around the noodle/pole and zip to multiple points of your grill...
Rear legroom was #1. With two grown teenage boys, the reclining rear seats and legroom is a plus. #2 how quite it is, like driving in a high end town car. #3 ride, so smooth and lots of power when you need it. Push that pedal and barely realize you're well over 80 🤣
To dump the right packets, you would need this switch and a LIN bus sniffer between it and a stock truck that supports it. Mine is a 2020, so I would not be able to determine what the correct bytes would be to activate it. However, once those packets are know, injecting them to spoof enable it...
1929 Model-A left back and 1963 Lincoln continental right back. 1969 road runner in exterior garage. Built an attic elevator last summer to get all the clutter out of this space. You can see that on the right in pic of nearly empty garage.
You'd want to sniff the LIN bus, not CAN bus. The ATMEL is just a simple LIN to Serial converter. In theory, you could attach a logic analyzer on the tx/rx pins and capture the packets. But probably easier to put a LIN repeater between the RAM and the switches, this way you can capture the...
so this thing uses a freescale cpu S9S08RN48 and a serial to LIN converter AMTEL ATA663454 ... it seems to have test pads that could be hijacked, but best would be to figure out the right LIN bytes to send to it. One way this could be done is by putting a LIN relaying device between this and the...
LIN bus is 12V @ 19200baud with only one line. Both transmit and receive is done on same line in a ring. So it might be tough to figure out which message is meant for what device and which device responds to the master.
There really should be an AlfaOBD main thread in this forum, with sub threads for each of the items you can add/change. Searching this giant thread is becoming a pain in the ***.
Mine is en-route, hopefully by the time I get it the secret code combo is figured out, if not I'll be popping mine open and will hijack it with my own chip.
