That is the same thing I had with the steering. I did the Bilstein shock and spring combo on mine and I am very happy with it. I did the Helwig sway bar but went back to stock sway bar. The fondly thing I am thinking about is going to QA1 shocks for the rear, not real sure at this point. ?
Yes, I have removed small amounts from the spindle and need to remove a little more. I am getting 1 1/2 turns both directions. I believe stock is 1 3/4 turns in both directions. Make sure you have all the weight on the truck to remove in the correct location. I drive mine pretty hard and...
I have a complete set of front stock struts with springs, everything to just switch out with what you have. They are off 21 with about 3k miles on them. I’ll take $200 for both, you pay shipping.
I have the Air Lift 1000 but just ordered the Air Lift 1000 HD. Towed my boat (wakeboard boat/heavy) yesterday and she squatted pretty bad. The 1000’s are great for moderate towing in my opinion. Someone else might have a different opinion.
I'll let you know. I have mine on the middle setting also. Tried to move to the softest setting but the resonator is in the way. Looking at the resonator delete pipes now. I'll keep you posted.
It is stiffer in the rear. I'm going to try QA1 shocks on the rear to see if that will help. I also changed the sway bar to Hellwig, I think that may have stiffened the rear also. I might try putting stock sway bar on this weekend to see if that helps before buying new rear shocks. I did...
Very happy with the IHC Suspension 3/5 drop. I did put rear helper bags in, towed my 18’ trailer with golf cart over 600 miles and no problems, 30 psi in the bags. Alignment is spot on.
I am installing IHC 3/5 on my truck. Called QA1 and talk to them, they said measure eyelet to eyelet and send them the length (with the truck on the ground) and they will recommend a rear shock. Hope this helps.
