I have not experienced any problems with the stability of the steps on uneven ground. They are double hinged near the tailgate that allows the steps to deploy on higher and lower than grade terrain. I got them on Amazon (Beech Lane Pickup Truck Tailgate Ladder $63).
Welcome! We need to see pics or it didn’t happen. Also, my CarPlay would garble Apple Music and skip at times. I found holding in the radio on/off button until the radio turns off (about 15 sec) reboots the radio and fixes it, for a while anyways.
Yes you can, but I wouldn’t risk it with my families lives. IMO with a TW around 1k then adding two adults and anything in the back of the truck you’ll likely be over your max payload. Which will do more than have your engine running in the red.
Get a different trailer or a 2500/3500. JMHO
