serv. manager and i covered that little bubble to force the headlights to come on with the engine start, it did nothing .... he went outside to 2 other trks and did the same thing with the same results .. says that is how they all work (does NOT control headlights) .. both of our Gladiators...

it does look like a Leer cap, i had several Leer caps ...turns out the keys are very simple ... only a few lock sets .... went to the garage for inspection and somehow forgot the cap key ... the key to his cap fit my cap lock ... later tried lots of keys for other caps i had over the years ...
