I thought so, thanks for verifying. My AAwireless adapter has this option too, but when I connect it as CarPlay (Beta) I get a blank screen (this is on a 4c though so still no fullscreen). I don't think any passthrough option would be what you want either as it might not connect as CarPlay...

Do they actually open the screen to do modification? Both of your issues sound like what would happen if either the board on the back of the screen is defective (harder fix) OR the ribbon cables aren't seated properly (easy fix). Personally I'd seek screen repalcement.

May I ask why you want it to connect? There may be settings in the CarlinKit app to send the data through in passthrough mode.
