Old post, but I recently bought a 2021 5th gen 1500. My old 2013 Ram 1500 had issues with drivers mirror only, I would hit button for mirror defrost and eventually would work. My 21 Ram is doing exact same thing. Passenger side defrost really fast. Both trucks had dimming rearview mirror, not...
Ya, if I didn't have a quad cab, there are a ton of boxes for the crew cab. Fox box is really only one like it out there for 5th gen quad cabs. If I didn't like it ported, could seal up since airspace is identical for the spike subs weather vented or sealed. I might just for fun block the port...
I'm happy with the spike dual 10s, very clean sounding. When I first installed everything I did not know at time my battery was ready to crap out. Put a AGM battery in a few days ago and much better now. Going to do big 3 just because with 0 guage and run a 8g to the key 200.4. Then I may bi-amp.
Agree, I did not cut any wires. I used a kicker loc from the anc bypass harness that I wired in a kicker key 200.4, can remove and back to stock in seconds. The d4s jp13 amp is only thing that would need seat bolts removed to get to. Right now I am pretty happy with the audiocontrol spikes...
Jp13, spike subs, fox box installed. I set the jp13 at 80hz cutoff, think i may try 60hz. The key amp when I moved dip switches to 80hz I just felt some mid bass was missing. Sounds better at 60hz to me. Bad part I have to pull my driver's rear seat to get to amp(installed it behind seat). Fox...
Today installed Amp, subwoofers etc. Have a 21 quad cab i bought back in around March, installed a kicker key 200.4 auto dsp amp, jbl 3 way 6x9's rear, kenwood component 6x9 woofers from doors, sky high car audio 3.5 carbon fiber neodyme in dash. Today, installed Fox box dual 10 ported, 2...
Are those the ones that snap on grill, no screws/bolts needed? I bought a set of snap in ones, still haven't installed, have the blacked out light up hemi 5.7 hood side vent thing ones too.
I have a true size quality ofc 4 guage amp kit I bought few months ago for another vehicle. Should that be fine? The jp13 on dyno tests I saw, pull a max 111 amps @ 2ohm(is what I will be running the amp at). I read conflicting things about what to use. Comes with 120amp fuse block.
Photo is without weight distribution connected(took photo just before I connected it), just sitting on ball. Pulled perfect over the pass in WA state, zero sway with pretty high winds and no sway bar connected, just weight distribution hitch.
I am for sure ordering the Fox box, is best out there besides Net $$$ audio. I just ordered a JP13 Amp, there is sale now and certain colors are $169. The dyno tests online show 1,372rms @ 2 ohm 88% efficient, 2k @ 1ohm but less efficient and can pull too many amps. So just bought the jp13 amp...
21 Ram 1500 bighorn 4x4 not e-tq base audio, I installed a kicker key 200.4, but same question as original poster, would around 1200 watts be too much and cause headlights to constantly flickering etc. I want the dual 10 fox box, but how long after ordering do they ship out normally by others...
