The way I see it, it may be indicative of a larger issue, like poorly machined main caps or the crankshaft itself.
Thanks, Bram2019. I agree nothing is perfect, especially with mass-produced vehicles, but I personally don't equate purchasing a new vehicle with gambling, so I don't think luck should ever factor into it. Anyway, I appreciate you weighing in.
My experience has been much the same, but I immediately revoked my acceptance of the vehicle under Georgia law (a right we have under the Uniform Commercial Code) and tendered the truck back to the dealer due to the fact that it was delivered to me with a major drivetrain defect.
