I can confirm that the order tracking system is completely broken, at least to some extent. I ordered a Longhorn after Thanksgiving. Wasn't expecting the truck until Spring or later. I would check the tracker once every week or so. No updates, no surprise. Well, my dealer had the truck just show...
Very true. The Pentastar is a phenomenal engine. They are dead reliable and make pretty decent power. Simple. Parts everywhere. I think it will go down as one of Chrysler's best engines ever.
I agree with Quint. I live by the simple creed of don't baby any Hemi. Don't get yourself arrested but don't drive it like there is an egg on the pedal. Every Hemi I've owned felt stronger and stronger the harder I drove it. Follow the recommended oil change interval and use a high quality oil...
My dealer confirmed today that supplier discount is in fact going away after Oct 31. Chrysler Rep says existing orders with the discount can be locked in. So get in touch with your dealers and make sure they do it for you if they haven't already...
I've used BFG KO2 and Falken Wildpeak AT3's a lot in snow and they both seem to work pretty darn good. I know at least the Falken's are rated for "severe" snow use.
From an aesthetic standpoint the BFG KO2 is my favorite tire out there.
I remember my 6.4 2500 with a couple inches of lift and 37s would get 10MPG in the winter. So if I can see 15 city and even close to 20 highway with my 3.92 offroad package ordered truck I will be very happy lol. Planning on leaving the truck mostly stock. If anything I'll do a slightly taller...
I'm hoping it at least helps with the shipping phase. My dealer is less than an hour from SHAP. I hope they just throw the truck on a car hauler and drive it out. I know they need to wait for enough vehicles to load certain trailers. But it might still sit for a while. Who knows. It's all craziness.
If I remember right the dealer placed the order on 8/2 (maybe 8/4) and it was accepted very shortly after. So I probably have a while to go. But who knows as it seems like there is absolutely no discernable pattern thus far...
Well, I tried my luck with the Ram chat today for the first time on this truck and was told the truck was "in scheduling with parts gathering" so I guess that means D lol. No surprise.
It's a bummer having to wait a while for D1. I expected it with this truck, but still sucks. I've ordered a...
Gosh I kind of forget exactly what I did now but it was basically what wallyuwl said. I remember since the truck was so fresh the existing seal strip basically just peeled right off lol.
If you don't have any already pick up one of the plastic trim removal kits. I have a couple of tools that...
^Very nice truck
Did you idle your first Hemi a lot by any chance? Do a lot of low speed traffic driving? I've read tons of opinions about the Hemi tick over the years and I tend to believe now that it is caused predominantly by oiling issues in the valvetrain and possibly somewhat also by the...
When it comes to e-Torque, the system is not like a typical stop start. You don't get any shudder or roughness when it turns the engine back over again. The system will even keep the A/C running cold for you with the engine stopped. Smooths out shifts and accelerations from a stop. I've heard it...
Unfortunately the leaky third brake light has been an issue forever. I don't think that problem has only been limited to Rams though. When I got my 4th gen 2500 one of the first things I did was just put some thicker weather stripping in place of the OEM stuff for the peace of mind. Very easy to...
