I bought a CAI for my truck a few years ago, zero gain in MPG, power gain.... Not enough to tell. Only think you get is more engine noise when you are on the throttle. If I could do it again I would spend the money elsewhere like river rat said
I've used it for many things, Its a very useful tool. On my current truck I've made it so my fog lights stay on with the high beams and disabled the seat belt chime. I programmed a spare key for my brothers truck, did the fog light deal on his and on my old truck added a factory trailer brake...
One thing to do with the ramps is once you drive up on them take a ratchet strap around the tread of each tire and secure them to the ramps. With the wheels off the ground nothing will keep the truck from being able to roll, With the straps it will be like having a wheel chalk and keep the truck...
I can chime in on this also LOL. I changed the pan/fluid on my truck around the same time I did the rear end oil. I changed mine with the front tires on ramps and jack stands under the rear end so the tires could rotate when you do the fill procedure. I dont think it would be very fun to do on...
I have basically the same truck, 2020 with 3.92 and electronic locker. I went with Valvoline Full Synthetic 75-140 in the plastic pouch, It made it very easy to refill. I went with (3) quarts to ensure I had enough. I did NOT add the LSD additive to mine. On a side note when I dumped the oil at...
Last year I bought a new 26' Camper and I went with Timber Grove air bags in my truck. (2020 1500 Hemi Crew Cab short box 4x4) I looked and looked and really like the fact there was no modification required to the truck to install them. Some kits require you to cut the part where the stock rear...
Bearsworld: Syracuse, NY here... not looking forward to this weather we are getting. My truck had that same issue around 8,000 miles ago, would idle kinda rough and then I got a check engine light for it. I started by moving #2 coil to #4, still had the same misfire in 2, I bought 2 new plugs...
I just use a standard 3 ton floor jack under the center of the rear end, Then place jack stands under the tubes of the axles. The problem with lifting the frame with the uniijack you posted is you have to lift the body and the suspension, Where when you go under the rear end itself it compresses...
Ive been to Quebec many times for the races!! I live in Syracuse, NY.... We have heavy winters here. My truck has 3.92 with the e locker. If I manually engage the e-locker you can feel it around corners but then it automatically disengages at 25mph (40 KPH) With it engaged the truck...
I often think the same about transmission fluid, A dipstick would make it so much easier to check (like every vehicle used to have LOL) I wasn't aware that they also went away from the engine oil dipstick on the 2025's
Thats a tough one.... If it were me and I had to pay for the repair out of pocket I would trade it in,, they will more than likely send it to a auction afterwards. You owe no money on it so you'll have a nice trade in down payment and can take the 5k for repairs and roll that into a new one also...
It was pretty crusty, Every oil change I would do I would think to myself man that oilpan looks bad. I don't know if it matters but I don't have ram extended warranty, I have Portfolio protection warranty and they approved the new pan/labor. I actually had the truck in for other service (also...
Just had this done last month on my truck but luckily it was covered by my extended warranty. Mine was shot at 85k miles, the rest of the truck is in awesome shape. Must be a thin cheap pan, Ive driven some old junk in my life that was 15+ years old and have never had to change a pan before LOL...
Just had this happen on my truck for the first time ever today. Was parked at a intersection with my turn signal on. All of a sudden I hear a horn honk and I was like "was that mine" there weren't any cars behind me, the I realize the turn signal sound is no longer the left signal I had on but...
I used chemical guys 2 part cleaner /conditioner. I've had my truck for almost 3 years now and have had great luck with it. I also like the clean fresh smell of the conditioner. The only negative I would say is the seats aren't slippery but are a little less grippy once you first apply it. It...
