Another person I know traded in their 2019 Ram with etourqe at 178,000 without any issues and upgraded to a 2024 etourqe two years ago, he’s got 73,000 km on it now without a glitch.
I have 65,000 km + on my 2022 rebel gt. Had my 12 v battery start acting funny last year and they replaced it. No issues since. I think is a crapshoot for the mgu’s. Some never have issues and others are early in the milage game.
I just emptied mine today with only 3500 km since last oil change and emptying. The catch can was 85-90% full with 30% water 🤔never had that happen since new 3 years ago. Now it’s filling up before half the mileage till the next oil change.
That’s a lot of condensation, more than normal, I live in Canada where it gets -30c at night and mine just looks like chocolate milk, due to the fact that the oil ratio to water keeps it from freezing. Your baffle is all crusty. At 8,000 km mine is always just over half to about 3/4 never full...
And that’s what is getting burned off instead of released into the atmosphere like in the 70’s. But do you really want to be burning that? There must be some residual carbon left on everything from the piston to valves and into the cats. Mix that in with the combustion of your fuel and you know...
I’ve had the same issue last year with the battery at just over 2 years old, ended up being the connection on the start. The technician said he’s seen a few like mine that weren’t torqued enough and loosen up over time.
