Uconnect 5 Soft Reset/Reboot and Factory Reset Instructions

HELP! I recently got the update and mine has frozen the screen twice now while backing up, and once pulling away from the gas pump. It just screeches for 10 seconds or so and then reboots itself. RAM, please fix these bugs or revert us back to previous version!!

    DC to DC Charger

Just an update for anyone trying to use the +12V from the 7 pin plug to a DC-DC charger. It doesn't work. I tried. I have a '23 Bighorn with 5.7 eTorque. I used a Victron Orion-Tr Smart 12/12V 18A thinking I was well under the fused 30A OEM 7 pin limit. I simulated my hookup and never blew...

Input for external trailer camera? Where is it? Pics?

v30, See this post, it works perfectly if you can tolerate the connection point being in the tailgate. https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/trailer-back-up-camera-using-uconnect.56304/post-885701

    Trailer back-up camera using UConnect

I put together a poor mans trailer backup camera for Uconnect 5 with 12" screen I have a 23 1500 Bighorn WITH the $590 trailer camera option. It was a waste of money after you have to spend $1500+ on the dual camera kit. It is also, not digital camera quality. Below has nothing to do with...

    DC to DC Charger

Now thats an interesting one. Does a lithium battery "pull" amps like a motor or just accept was is available on the wire? If you find that out please let us know, that could certainly change things only having 30amps available. Also, the newer 12v only fridges draw about 4.5-5 amps while...

    DC to DC Charger

boogielander, I respectfully disagree. I have had 2 separate stock travel trailers (maybe pop ups are wired differently) and both of them use the +12V 7 pin to charge the house battery. Easy enough to verify, disconnect your house battery, plug in the 7 pin and see if you have 12v in camper...

Input for external trailer camera? Where is it? Pics?

Correct. I do not have the digital mirror, I am only interested in displaying the aux camera on the 12" screen.

Input for external trailer camera? Where is it? Pics?

The kit is listed on my rap sheet as "XFQ Mopar trlr Camera wiring/no camera" and it was factory installed ($590 option). The original 4 pin/7 pin on the bumper is still there and functioning. The kit added another 7pin port with the 12 pin port to a bracket mount below the bumper. So yes, I...

    DC to DC Charger

I read this once or twice but I don't believe anyone has used the 30 amp 7 pin that is built into the truck. Food for thought, I will add a renogy 1212-20 to the truck side of the 7 pin with OEM wiring which is 10 gage. I suspect roughly 10-12 feet from fuse box to the 7 pin connector. Renogy...

    Official flame red thread

Late to the game here but had to match the boat. Just replace with a red 2023 with a real gas tank and led lights. Not sure I like the black mirrors and door handles on the new one yet.

Input for external trailer camera? Where is it? Pics?

Jimmy07, Great intel.... I have a 2023 1500 with the "Mopar trailer camera prep kit" installed. I can't find the camera that goes with this kit though. Would you happen to know the part number for the camera? Thanks Doug
