I am still having the disconnect/reconnect issue, but I think it's unrelated to this upgrade. I've seen others having the same problem with android auto.
The changed to Uconnect5 with the '22 Rams. I can verify that the screen I listed (68526597AC) works with a '22 Big Horn with Nav. I do...
That's great! Glad you're not having the wifi disconnect issues I am. I notice too, that every time I get a new phone update, the issue improves for a while. Go figure. 🤷♂️
The picture was incorrect. I totally missed that. It's integrated center stack. I've updated the original post with a new pic. Thanks for the heads up!
That's awesome you got yours working! I haven't had any problems since upgrading to the tow mirrors, but I still don't understand why my wouldn't calibrate the standard mirrors.
I spoke too soon. The thing started disconnecting again a few days later. Since then, I have upgraded my phone, and I took my truck in for service with the issue. The dealer replaced my entire radio module. It is still disconnecting. At this point, I think it's got to be a software issue...
I replaced the "applique" for the bezel I ordered on ebay to match the old one from my 8.4 bezel (and the rest of my interior). I posted the part numbers in one of the original posts:
UPDATE: I finally just decided to get tow mirrors. The cameras calibrated first try. It was so easy. All I can figure is that 56029964AF is made for UC5 w/Tow Mirrors only.
If there is a way to get it to work with regular mirrors, I don't know what it is. It's clearly set for tow mirrors...
Okay. I seem to have figured out the problem. I believe the wifi antenna (and bluetooth antenna) connects on the back, bottom corner of the module via this interesting double-cable connector on the backside of the circled part here:
All the wires are kind of crammed in there, and when I...
Maybe, but I don't have tow mirrors, and my settings don't say I have tow mirrors. How do I tell it I have normal mirrors?
Edit: and there's the black bar in both images, like the video tracking isn't lined up.
I can rule out the cameras as the problem. I plugged the rear camera into the right camera port. It pointed off to the driver's side and still had the black bar on the side.
I plugged the right camera into the rear port, and I could suddenly see straight down, and there was no black bar...
Those are good.
Weird thing happened, though. I switched the wires, just to see what would happen. When I did, the images were closer to correct, in the sense that my truck took up less of the image, but obviously mismatched:
Left is mismatched, right is correct. I also notice a black bar...
I was wondering the same. That's why I wanted to compare logs. But, from looking last night, I can't see anything specific that I would change.
I didn't touch the camera or bracket in this one. It is as it came. As Stepanchina said, I've used different cameras and housings.
I purchased a...
