I don't buy extended warranties. I'm insured with Geico and have their MBI (mechanical breakdown insurance). It costs $48 for six months in California and has a $250 deductible per claim. Claims can have multiple items on the claim at the same time and are covered under one deductible, not one...
I think the bigger issue here is forgetting that when in Canada, this is the relevant price that they have to pay. Canada does have a better exchange rate for Americans, but then the "spend" of that money is what is important. Sometimes we might forget that RAM is in other countries and are...
Are you sure it's not a chime? Mine did the chime thing with the front and rear parking sensors. There's a TSB for that and it would do it while driving down the freeway (when the parking sensors should be unconcerned with parking! :)
Yes they replace the entire frame. Mine is currently in the shop for the second time (2019). It's being covered by my Geico MBI plan in addition to some smaller items (overhead console door, parking sensors malfunction). Geico is covering it all. I just hope this second window is somehow newer...
Yes, the engine wouldn't be less efficient, it would just work harder to move the vehicle through denser air of the cold winters, and thus use more fuel per mile.
While the engine isn't as efficient, neither is the drag coefficient is higher resulting in more fuel being required to move the brick "aka RAM" through the air, in warmer times, the DC is less resulting in the vehicle moving through the air more efficiently. Helicopters have the same issue with...
Double whammy...winter blends with lower BTU content, and colder air is much thicker requiring more energy to push these non-aerodynamic vehicles through it. Best mileage you'll ever get is sea level or lower through an Arizona desert in the summer. :)
Do they pulsate on high beam or just low beam? If they do it on low beam but not on high, it's because you need to add the PWM module to the low beams. The high beams don't need the module.
I posted this to a new thread but wanted to post it here as it's relevant to the discussion. My AC is night and day difference, but one year and one battery change later. Still not sure what is what, but no more sweating in the cab with the AC on!
I just wanted to let people know of my...
As long as stuff is made in the Americas, and especially Mexico I'm good with it. I'm tired of supporting China who has no interest in being our ally, friend, or even civil unless we bow to their whims. That said, jobs in Mexico means that Mexicans do not have to leave their beautiful country...
To answer your questions, they replaced mine when they repaired the leak and my dealer was quite thorough, replacing the window, 3rd brake light seal, antenna seal, headliner, and rear carpet kit. If you're still in the 36K original factory warranty, get it in ASAP!
I have it, it works well and no issues. It pays the dealer directly with pre-verification of coverage so you don't have to pay and then pray you're reimbursed.
Sometimes I wonder if THIS is why our trucks come so screwed up from the factory. With all this "stuff" all over them, they don't get real wind noise, they aren't subject to leaks (it's damn near tented), and they have weight on all the panels to keep the rattles away. Maybe if they'd just...
