Probably coincidence. The reason your code scanner won't read is the CAN C bus is down. First thing I would check is the radio frequency hub located behind the rear seat. Disconnect it and see if you get communication. Probing the fuse won't hurt.

I have mine set to medium. It hasn't activated yet even though I've come on some stopped traffic. I'm hitting the brakes before I feel uncomfortable.

I just installed the Flowmaster resonator delete kit with the stock muffler in place. The B2 should be similar, I think. It adds a little rumble at idle, a little bark while stepping it and cruising at hwy speed I can barely hear it. American truck has a video of an install with sound examples.

It is possible to change the cap without removing the glass. That torx screw will come out if you angle a torx screwdriver at it. Don't put pressure on the glass. You don't need that screw to hold them in. I broke my pass glass by doing exactly what the service manual said. Changed the drivers...
