You can make your own adapter. Remove the 6x9 adapter from the door, turn it over and trace it onto some 1/2” material (mdf, plastic cutting board) and cut it out. Use a circle jig to cut out whatever mounting diameter your particular 6.5 calls for and mount the new adapter to the door. You can...
