So I spoke to the dealer and they confirmed a new screen is available but would not order it for me as a warranty replacement. Like you said, you’re supposed to order the reman unit. I pleaded with them that this should be an extenuating circumstance since there is no eta for the reman part and...
How do you go about testing for this to be proven to be faulty? Is it as simple as just saying my batteries keep going dead and they should know that is what the problem is.?
They definitely take some getting used to. I have to be much more vigilant when making turns at intersections to make sure there isn’t a car or a pedestrian there once I got used to them they are OK but there’s a definite learning curve.
So in the 10 months I’ve had the truck, the batteries have randomly gone dead on my roughly 4-6 times. Never any rhyme or reason as to why. The truck can sit for a week and start right back up. Other times I will park it and come back out the next morning and the batteries will be dead. I had a...
@yoopram I wrote a fairly nasty email to Stellantis customer care and asked them about ordering a bigger more encompassing part instead of just the screen. They said that I needed to go to my dealer and see if they could order a different part as customer care doesn’t have that capability...
I will reach out and see if I can get the specific part number. They did mention that the part I am needing is a remanufactured part but the problem is because these trucks are brand new There aren’t many out there for for them to have been manufactured in the first place. I think my problem is...
During this whole thing, I have been dealing only with Ram as my dealership has said they have no sale in when a part becomes available. They place an order and it is up to ram to fulfill it.
I will reach back out to my dealer and inquire if there are other more expansive options in regards to...
@StuartV Like you said, I was not intentionally attacking her politics, just a personality trait. Because she is a political figure, I understand where @RamTruckMan was coming from. I didn't mean to stir anything up so I agree we should just move on. All good.
I do appreciate everyone's input...
So I need some guidance/help from you guys. The screen in my truck has been broken/not responding to touches for months. The “brain” as they are calling it has been on order this entire time but they have given me 0 actual info on any sort of a timeframe or what they are doing to source this...
I've had the same thing happen to me twice but it's never shut off immediately after removing the battery so that's new to me. How long did you let it run before disconnecting the jumpers? Good practice says to keep it connected for a few minutes, right?
My screen is inoperable so I leave the Navigation open so I can see where I'm driving. I don't actually use it for navigation so I can't speak to that but the one thing I've noticed is I get frequent (falst) alerts for speed traps. I don't know where they get the info that there's a speed trap...
So I had another incident where both truck batteries went completely dead overnight. This is the second time it has happened. No idea what causes it. In a bit of a joking way I thought maybe this was just their way of calibrating the batteries. Let them drain dead and then charge them full...
So once you set the map/tune it stays in there until you change it. That’s assuming you don’t disconnect the tuner itself.
I keep it in map 1 and don’t notice any hard shifting or anything. Just spools up a little faster than normal.
I’ve run map 2 a couple times and didn’t notice any hard...
