I have a 2020 Ram 1500 Big Horn/Lone Star. I tried running a set of hood LEDs off both F60 and F35 using a fuse tap and I had no luck. :(
When I put it on F60 my truck wouldn't start. I moved to F35 and I got several errors and had to reset the check engine faults.
Well I lied, I thought it was all good until this morning when it was dark and when I put the brakes on the turn signal portion of the strip lit up. Ugh...
Now I think my next move is to T-y'all into the truck turn signal wiring at the back which should be more accessible than the front and...
F9 & F10 work just fine... until you put on the brakes or taillights. LOL *forehead slap*. The fuses are for the entire circuit regardless of function(probably poorly worded).
Looks like I'm back to piggybacking off the tow turn signals from the back as those are easier to access than the front...
TY for the reply and direction!
I thought that might work. I will try tomorrow.
I didn't have a fuse to fit my fuse tap tonight so to wire the white light ckt so that the LED strip comes on when I start the truck I tied it to my F14(AC Clutch). That seems to work and I wouldn't think it a...
I'm going to installed a hood LED strip I got off Amazon and it has the option to include turn signals indication.
I've looked and cannot see any way to access the headlights wiring harness(es) to T-tap the turn signal wires.
I can see what I believe to be the connector on the driver's side by...
I ordered a Vgate Vlinker MC+ off Amazon and it connected to the door modules with no problem. Wasted $$ on the WeekndGarage OBD II interface. UGH... Live and learn
Oh yeah, and I was successful in changing both mirror tilt angles. I really like that you can set them individually to different...
I have a 2020 Ram 1500 Big Horn and I purchased AlfaOBD, the SGW bypass cable, and the OBD II device from WeekndGarage.
According to a YT video you're supposed to be able to adjust the side-view mirror tilt angle when you have the tilt in reverse function enabled. But my AlfaOBD fails to...
Another probably stupid question...
I've read lots of posts and watched lots of YT videos but haven't seen anyone address exactly what to do after changing something with AlfaOBD.
I assume after the procedure completes you select "Start" and disconnect and you cycle the ignition through off...
I have 2020 Ram 1500 Big Horn/Lone Star(seemed weird to me but the VIN indicates both packages) 5.7 Hemi.
Just got AlfaOBD and the accoutrements from WeekndGarage.com but haven't connected yet.
Doing dry runs on AlfaOBD and I'm unsure when I do connect which Control Unit I should select. The one...
