So, I believe I figured out my problem. I decided to tap my rear speakers instead of the front speakers. Now everything seems to be working fine and I don’t have the wonky issue of having to unplug one of the rca cables for the sound to be correct.
My guess is the front channels must not like...
Thanks. So, everything was good with the stereo and all of the sudden this afternoon the front right went out again. I shut the truck off and waited an hour. Went back out in the driveway and it reset again and was playing normally for about 2 minutes and it went back out again. I have no...
So after letting the truck sit overnight, the system must have reset itself because everything is working properly now. Very strange. One another note, my bass response is much better in the subs when one rca is left unplugged to the lc2i. Maybe I have something wired incorrectly, but I know...
Hi all. I am having an issue with my front right channel not playing on the base 6 system. I just installed an audio control lc2i to my existing subwoofer setup - 2 Rockford Fosgate 10” P3s and an Alpine MV500 amp.
I previously used high level speaker inputs straight to the amp from the...
I had them on my 2010 Ram 2500 Cummins. I was impressed with them as I got 60,000 miles out of them on and they wore well. Could have squeezed another 3 - 5k out of them. They are not quiet tires, but not overly obnoxious. They also rode decently. I was pretty religious about rotating them...
I believe that is the crossover capacitor for the tweeter in your coaxial speaker. You’ll need to use another capacitor to cut off the bass frequencies for the mid range driver.
I have the Mopar lift, Fuel Contra 20×10 -19 offset and 1/4 inch spacers all around with 33x12.50 Toyo open r/t tires. No rubbing. I'd be willing to bet you'll be fine.
Looks great! How do you like the AeroSkin? I’ve heard mixed reviews on it and would like to install a deflector, just not sure which one to get. I also like the Form Fits that are made in Canada. Very handsome truck! I like your style - very similar to mine:
UPDATE:
So, I was able to resolve my mysterious issue with the window switches by taking the door panels back off and loosening my speakers. Not sure if I was pinching a wire or the back of my speakers were somehow interfering with a sensor. At any rate, I shimmed the speakers out with some...
It definitely adds to the low end, but it's not going to rattle your fillings. For $350, I expected a little more. The Cerwin Vega is cheaper and I almost bought that one. I know lrobbi bought that one and seems happy with it. Mind you I had a kicker 12" in my last truck and I have 2 10's in...
I did not disconnect the switches while installing the speakers. I did disconnect the driver’s side after I noticed the quirk and re-connected it based on a thread I read on here. I’ll try your method when I get the truck back from the A pillar repair.
Thank you!
Edit: I’ve had to do this...
Hi everyone.
I recently installed new speakers and a small powered sub similar to lrobbi. I tapped the front speaker leads to install the powered sub - Kicker 10” Hideaway. Also, I accidentally ordered the wrong Metra speaker wire adapters for the doors, so I went old school and cut off the...
