5.7 Hemi issues? Must be that etorque version eh? I've had the RAM 5.7 Hemi since 2003 and have had zero engine issues. Currently have the 5.7 in a 2019 Limited 4x4 and same good service, so far, :) . I baby them for the first 500 miles then use the ol' lead-foot procedure often for a good...
Thanks for that info. BTW, do you know where I can get a new 'temporary' tire since it's the same age. My manual states that you should NOT put a regular full size tire on that 245/70R 18 steel rim. Is it a weaker made steel wheel or something? <sigh>
On another note: (I know the thread's been here a bit) just wanted to add you really should check the air pressure in that spare. I've had my 2019 Limited for 'bout 7 years now and never had a flat (only 9850 miles. bought it right after I retired and my wife chauffeurs me just about...
As previously mentioned it's for adding fuel or additives as it opens the flap down in the neck. Found this out the hard way when trying to add fuel from a 5 gal can once. Impossible without it I think. Had I just looked at the inside of the fuel door, the sticker shows it's use.
Ah, understand, thanks HSKR R/T. Welp, hopefully those got gummed up or sumpin' and the new ones will work without replacing that pump (which will be a bear to get to). After taking the DS one apart it seems to be working now but the PS one did not respond to cleaning so I just removed the...
Just to share; after putting that nozzle back together and reinstalling it; it seems to work fine now but the PS is not. Therefore I vacuumed the reservoir out with my shop vac making sure I got all the gunk from the bottom settlling area, blew air back through the motor until I heard it spin...
Ugh, welp, after digging even deeper into this issue I disassembled the nozzle and found a plunger and check valve ( I think) which might explain why I couldn't blow through the nozzle....... so maybe the pump is too weak to perform. I'll attach a pic for your viewing and look into ordering a...
Thanks for your replies fellas. I've dug deeper into this issue and removed the DS nozzle assembly and cannot get anything through this, even air. How could they not check this??? At any rate, I will vacuum the reservoir out, back blow some low pressure air and try to clean the supply real...
Welp, took my 2019 Ram 1500 Limited 4WD 5.7 to dealer for a recall ABS re-flash and had them check the windshield washer just dribbling out of the DS nozzle and nothing coming from the PS nozzle. Service seems to be sooooo slow these days. 4 hours later was informed that they suspect the...
