I just called Ram customer care about the smartphone key feature, and the representative sounded like I was his 100th caller today asking about the same question. 😭 Anyways, they didn’t provide a timeline of when it will happen. It’s definitely not releasing this year, IMO.

How did you wire the taillights? I’ve also been curious about the headlights. Does it throw any codes with it plugged in?

I agree, they definitely messed up and should fix it. Looking at the mopar estore, there’s only one style for the LED taillights. That’s for the 2025 model year tho, it hasn’t been updated for 2026 yet.

Ram’s design choices and lighting features have confused a lot of us. I would also like to add that they have completely taken away LED taillights for the Laramie and Big Horn. They put in cheap halogen turn signals in the front, and slapped in LED reflectors with no DRL strips like the older...

It looks like Ram removed the smartphone as a key feature from their website under Laramie Level 2 package. You will have to go to a Rebel or Limited for it now. I wonder if us Laramie owners will still get the update for it.

How did you go about that? I just checked my window sticker and sure enough it shows the lighting animation on there front + back

You should try and get some money back from Ram for the false advertisement. I’ve seen people do it and were successful.

They make a harness for the 19-24 style led light too, they are the same size. You can buy them without the blind spot monitoring. It won’t give you the amber turn signal tho which is bummer, idk why Ram went back to using integrated lights.
