I added the oldest update I could find S25.8 to the google drive you can give it a try. The vin shouldn't matter with the USB update as my radio is in an early 2019 also.
I re-uploaded the T27.46 USB update because I keep getting request on my google drive for permission to the file. Freshly uploaded from the USB drive I used to installed both radios. I already had T25.48 installed. Hopefully someone has had success like me. Use at your own risk all update are as...
I pulled the link. I had zero issues with 2 radios. One was a stock 22 trx and the other was a retrofit in a 19. Both started out with MY23 T25.48 and both have working GPS and SiriusXM before and after.
Link removed. It would appear some people were having issues with it. I personally update 2 radios from T25.48 without issue. Radio was from a MY22 TRX. No issues with gps or SiriusXM.
Here is a link to the T27.46 USB update. I have installed it and after 3 days use it is pretty stable.
Just using stock flash files no tunes.
Installed the old dial shifter again and adjusted the BCM setting accordingly.
Setting changed in the BCM. ( May need to be 2021 or newer. Confirmed working on 2022 and 2023 BCM's. )
Paddle Shift Feature Present: Yes
Paddles Lock-out Feature Present...
Yes sorry I was talking about when running in D drive posistion without the paddles enabled. The paddles will hold the gear to max RPM and give full control of the shift except for a down shift that would exceed max RPM and cause damage.
Reporting back the JL TCM at WOT will not up shift and just hits the rev limit. I figure the 392 has a slightly higher max RPM over the 5.7L. It doesn't bother me as if I let off the pedal it shifts but that means back to BSG only TCM with paddles shifters on the DT with normal shifting at WOT.
Witech will allow the dealer to program any BCM the is compatible. I had both a 22 and the newer 23 BCM both programmed with dealer tools. Restore car configuration and them a BCM replace procedure was all it took. The programming code was used for the BCM replaced part.
The paddle shift function is part of the TCM. That being said the only Ram option is the GT for the 8HP75 which is only available with BSG. The TCM comes 2wd or 4wd with BSG only. I currently have a non BSG transmission with the BSG TCM and the paddles work just like a GT with proper BCM setting...
So far it has been the most stable the radio has ever been both CarPlay and Android Auto work flawlessly. The update also allows Off Road and Performance pages. Still tinkering with the pages though. That being said this is a retrofit and SiriusXM Guardian does not work anyway.
I have found a few updates for the software on the UAX 12.1. On my 2019 retrofit I was at NR28.1 and when I tired to directly update to PR39.7 it failed and rolled back. I ended up going to LR34.2 and then PR39.7. You need a FAT32 USB to do the updates. Not sure if it will work on all UAX 12.1...
