New shoes for the 2020 Laramie Longhorn. I was still on the original Bridgestone Duelers with a bit less than 25K, but had gotten some uneven wear on the passenger side pair.
Replaced them with a set of Bridgestone Dueler AT Ascent on Saturday, will be going in for alignment on Monday.
Old...
OK, after I picked up the Ram Saturday we have had 1.4" rain Sunday & overnight. Checked this AM (Monday) and could not find any damp areas in the rear cabin area. I was trying to blot areas with a paper towel looking for any visual indication of dampness rather than just feeling for it. So...
Well, got the replacement back glass assembly installed. We will see if it does the trick when the forecast rain comes through in the next couple of days. I'm not putting stuff back in the ram boxes until I see if it will need another trip to the dealer.
I dropped off the truck this AM & went home in a loaner. Ended up picking it back up around 5. When their glass people started the window frame removal they found a crack in the frame near the drivers side corner & stopped work. The dealer has ordered a replacement window assembly & it should be...
Finally got called by the dealer. Taking it back in Monday AM & getting a loaner while they actually do a full remove, reseal, reinstall of the back glass assembly. Apparently they only did a "partial " remove, reseal, reinstall when I took it in last time (?).
After a day & night of rain, I checked the truck this AM and found the rear carpet damp again, more so on the driver side. It was actually soggy on the outer portion & finger pressure resulted in visible water by the door sill & under the rear seat. Waiting on a call back from the service rep...
Finished up with the leak repair. The glass shop was able to remove/reseal/reinstall the existing rear window. No indication of any leak activity other than that window corner. No cracks. No headliner stains.
The detailing shop cleaned up & dried the rear carpet & power washed the rear mat. No...
Just back from the dealer regarding a leak on the 2020 Longhorn. Nothing showing on the headliner, but the rear floor area was getting damp. Didn't notice that initially, the big clue was heavy condensation on the inside of the windshield & windows on cool mornings. When I noticed the rear...
Just purchased an 8/85K max care from Ziegler, via the website, for my 2020 Laramie Longhorn (w/10350 miles). With PAYINFULL code it was $1330 w/$200 deductable.
Ran the $99 GPS map update today after the FedEx guy dropped it off. Had to do a Uconnect SW update first. A bit of an involved process with the web based activation code step, but eventually got it all done. The package with the map update included a separate USB drive for the SW update.off...
Added some auxiliary reverse lights to the 2020 Longhorn. Used a couple of 18watt worklights (same as I used earlier on a couple of tractors).
Mounted them to the receiver using a couple of hood clamp lamp mounts. The attachment location shouldn't interfere with my chain hook ends. The...
I've had our 2020 Laramie Longhorn for a couple of months now. No complaints/regrets. Had a chance to do some towing with our 7K 10' dump trailer ( light loads of brush & trash, maybe 3K total) for about 80 miles total & Aluma 7K 18' car hauler (carrying JD 1025R with backhoe, bucket & forks...
