Welcome to forum. I'm surprised no one has responded.
Unfortunately I can be of know help having the 5.7 Hemi, but there are engine categories on the forum menu page I.
Just click on your engine group and re-post there.
Is yours the diesel?
From what I'm reading on this site, wait as long as you can if you decide to go new.
Still seams to be quite a few "Bugs" to work out with the new ones as usual on a first year run.
Check out any utube video for "installing fitcamx in ram 1500". It will show you what's back there. The cover pops off easily.
Fitcamx is made to connect to the mirror power and is well hidden. You can not even tell it's there.
You may want to consider that brand.
I know it's difficult to do because of the location of original filter, but it is important to torque the fittings to the numbers specified. Many O ring failures come from overtightening.
If you are going to do an install I highly recommend a torque wrench and crow's feet.
I was able to torque...
Pac Brake is already proved itself, is cheaper and hoses are pre-made with quality fittings. The one you are considering looks like crap! Probably on sale today. Even if not on sale Pac brake is $125 or more cheaper.
I kinda disagree. You can refuel with gasoline in 13 minutes. Can't charge that fast so sometimes you may need to leave before a full charge is achieved.
And you can always steal gasoline. 🤪
I also kept my 2002. The trade in value was 3K. It still has no rust and only 90K miles. It was a year before the hemi so it has the 5.9 Magnum. It's been fantastic and trouble free.
