Bed covers can be a pain. I no longer do the soft covers any more due to issues similar to this. I currently use an Extang folding cover. Love it.

Are you fully shifting to Park? That can sometimes leave the truck in ACC mode.

Either find a different dealer to work on it, or trade it in. My 2020 has been perfect so far.
