No I don’t have the air suspension. I just towed my camper over 100 miles through upstate New York both interstate and rural with no issues at all. There was no sway or significant bouncing. I’m really happy with my setup!
The truck sagged a lot towing the trailer and always felt like the truck was on the edge of being out of control. I had the hitch setup checked by an RV dealer and they said it was properly set up. I just think the suspension was too light.
I use an Equalizer WD hitch and drove on a state highway 55-60. There were some hills and it happened to be windy that day. The dry hitch weight is 695lbs. We did have stuff in the trailer but propane tanks were empty and had nothing in the truck. I am very pleased so far after a not so pleasant...
Very pleased towing this travel trailer with my new 2019 Ram 1500 Bighorn Quad Cab. The trailer dry is close to 6000lbs dry 8200 GVW with a hitch weight of 695lbs.
